Dasine Asberry saw his record evened at 2-2, suffering a first round knockout versus Ahmed Curry in a scheduled four-round welterweight bout at the Lagoon Nightclub in Essington, PA.

Asberry suffered a head butt early in the round which was not recognized by the fight's referee, and it would ultimately play a major role in the outcome. Asberry, clearly affected by it, would have the fight stopped 2:22 into the first round.

It was the first victory for Curry, who dropped his pro debut on May 14th in a four- round decision.

Asberry will look to shake off the loss and seek his third win before the end of 2004.
